After months of trials by different biotech companies and medical research facilities, Putin claims that the vaccine developed by Gamaleya Institute is the world’s first registered vaccine. He added on his statement, “I know that it works quite effectively, it forms a stable immunity.”

One of the Russian President’s daughter even tried the said vaccine, although had a slight increase in temperature, now feels much better.

“I think that this way she participated in the experiment. After the first injection, her temperature was 38 °C, the next day 37°C – something and that’s it. After the second injection, the temperature also got a bit higher but that’s it, then it went back down. Now she feels well.” said Putin.

However, some reports criticized the actions of Russia registering the vaccine without finishing crucial phases in development — Phase III Trials of the vaccine.

In a report from CNN, Russian officials said that the essential phase in the development process of a vaccine, Phase III trials, would take place after the state registration process of the vaccine.

As of this writing, Russia has not released scientific evidences and reports with regards to the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine testing.
